The crankbait is made
out of hard plastic and can come with or without a lip in front. The
crankbait can cover a lot of water. This is a reaction bait with exciting
results. A bait that looks like a fish will ultimately catch the fish.
Use a lipped crankbait near objects. This bait dives and wiggles as it is being
retrieved, and can resemble a fish in distress when retrieved with
stop and go action. Bump and bang your crankbait against stumps and
other objects - this is when a crankbait is at its best! Will you lose
some? Yes. Always buy enough crankbaits to lose plenty. But the action
you will see resulting from hitting objects is worth every penny.
Lipless crankbaits work best in open water. This bait calls fish to
it with its rattle. Great for schooling fish. Due to the speed
of this lure, either type will entice the fish during warm water months.
In cold water, reel in your crankbait slowly, pausing every few feet as
you go.
